The quantity of published Linked Data continues to increase. However, applications that consume Linked Data are not yet widespread. Reasons may include a lack of suitable methods for a number of open problems, including the seamless integration of Linked Data from multiple sources, dynamic discovery of available data and data sources, provenance and information quality assessment, application development environments, and appropriate end user interfaces. Addressing these issues requires well-founded research, including the development and investigation of concepts that can be applied in systems which consume Linked Data from the Web. Our main objective is to provide a venue for scientific discourse (including systematic analysis and rigorous evaluation) of concepts, algorithms and approaches for consuming Linked Data.

Open issues include (but are not limited to) a lack of approaches for seamless integration of Linked Data from multiple sources, for dynamic, on-the-fly discovery of available data, for information quality assessment, for querying and caching dynamic remote sources, and for implementing appropriate end-user interfaces.

RAM and disk space values are in addition to requirements for the product image, operating system, and other software on the machine. Your performance will vary, depending on your configuration. This includes the features you use, plus the number of users, and other factors. Using only the minimum can result in slow performance.

For example, the amount of disk space needed on the Controller for connection leasing (which is enabled by default) depends on the number of users, applications, and the mode: 100,000 RDS users with 100 recently-used applications require approximately 3 GB for connection leases; deployments with more applications may require more space. For dedicated VDI desktops, 40,000 desktops require at least 400-500 MB. In all cases, Citrix suggests providing several GBs of additional space.

Several multimedia acceleration features (such as HDX MediaStream Windows Media Redirection) require that Microsoft Media Foundation be installed on the machine on which you install the VDA. If the machine does not have Media Foundation installed, the multimedia acceleration features will not be installed and will not work. Do not remove Media Foundation from the machine after installing the Citrix software; otherwise, users will not be able to log on to the machine. On most supported Windows desktop OS editions, Media Foundation support is already installed and cannot be removed. However, N editions do not include certain media-related technologies; you can obtain that software from Microsoft or a third party. For more information, see Prepare to install.

The major version number of the Flash Player on the user device must be greater than or equal to the major version number of the Flash Player on the server. If an earlier version of the Flash Player is installed on the user device, or if the Flash Player cannot be installed on the user device, Flash content is rendered on the server.

The Universal Print Server comprises client and server components. The UpsClient component is included in the VDA installation. You install the UpsServer component on each print server where shared printers reside that you want to provision with the Citrix Universal Print Driver in user sessions.

Please note that some users are reporting delayed responses on certain pages of WES.org. That includes some difficulty logging in to My Account. We are currently working to resolve this issue. If you are experiencing any delays, please try again soon. Update: This issue has been resolved.

Analyze_Logon_Duration.ps1 is a PowerShell script that displays all major sequential phases of the logon process and makes it easy to see which phase is slowing down the user logon. It is also possible to see if there is a delay between the end of one phase and the start of the next one.

Citrix Blog Post What graphics policies do I need, and when? says you should not change any Citrix Policy Graphics Settings. The only exception is 3D workloads, which should have the Visual Quality user setting set to Build to Lossless.

Another option is to write a script that enumerates sessions looking for idle time and disconnect time and then your script logs off users based on those values and the time of day. Schedule your script to run periodically throughout the day.

The settings were not applied, as I thought they would be, only to sessions started on these tagged machines, but instead to every session, whatever the delivery group or user used (the evidence was easy to spot as I also setup session watermarking in this new policy).

Hello,I have a black flash problem that appears every 15 min when the user launches an application : environnent (VDA 7.1912 CU1 + Windows server 2016)Do you have a suggestion for this problem please ?

How do you set up Outlook auto discovery via Citrix policies? We are using folder redirection. we need users to be able to set up their Outlook profile via auto discover and for their settings to be saved for the next time they log on to the vdi.

Try this nothing is work, we are not getting why the policy is not apply on citrix OU is something user permission problem or some configuration problem how to rectify this problem. Pls helpThank you

Hi Carl,Thanks as always for your work. Wanted to know, is there a way to determine what delivery group/app/shared desktop a user will see based on their endpoint. This is internally for load-balanced storefront servers so for a user that is not going through the vpn gateway. Essentially if a user comes from a specific set of end-points (by name or IP or some other attribute) can I direct them to only see a specific delivery group using Citrix policies?

The private machines are used by support teams working on a 247 basis, they must be as much available as possible, therefore the disconnected session timer interval is set to 3 days. The Citrix policy is assigned to the users groups granting access to the private delivery groups (priority 2).

The pooled machines are used by a wider range of people for usual office work and must be updated as soon as a new PVS version has been validated. For these machines, the disconnected session timer interval is set to 9 hours via the Default user policy assigned to the whole domain users (priority 15).

Did you modify the filtering of the GPO to only include users? If so, did you also add Authenticated Users (or Domain Computers) to the Delegation tab and give it Read permission? This is required for Loopback.

Hi carl, we have recently upgraded VDAs server OS from Windows 2008 R2 to Windows 2012 R2 , post upgradation we have observed that during logon the black screen appears for 60-120 seconds to get the actual desktop screen with all icons, secondly users have reported slow performanace and screen freeze while working. The VDA are on VMware ESXi infra with 32 GB RAM and 8vcpu and we have close to around 700+ server OS VDAs which got upgraded to windows 2012 OS. Do we need to apply specific policies or settings for windows 2012 OS VDAs ?

I manage all of my Citrix policies in GPO. When users log on, I can see the user Citrix policies being written to the subkeys and values below HKLM\Software\Policies\Citrix\[SESSION_ID]\User. At some point during the session, however, the User key and all its subkeys disappear, leaving only the Events and Evidence keys.

I see that the actions of creating files are made by NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM and not with the current user.obviously the system account doesn't have permissions on the network share, as it doesn't make any sense, even on the %LOCALAPPDATA% info which is local I see the AppVClient get ACCESS DENIED so I thing I'm missing something very basic :/

What they fixed for appdata redirection was this I believe "While the virtual environment is running, data continues to be saved to the local cache. Data is served only out of %LocalAppData% and is not moved or synchronized with %AppData% until the end user shuts down the computer". This doesn't include the operation for repairing the application is my understanding.

So what permissions do you have on the SMB share and NTFS where appdata is redirected, have you tried granting access to Domain Computers?. Have you tried it for a user without folder redirection? Also what are NTFS permissions on %localappdata% because that does seem odd the local system doesn't have access to that folder you should see "SYSTEM"? Is the application in use that you're trying to repair, though you'd normally get an error message stating that?

Out of interest what happens when you run Repair-AppvClientPackage -UserState. ? I suspect the same thing, but this will only repair the user state and not the extension points e.g. shortcuts. 2ff7e9595c
